Converging The Edge

Our Mission

Legacy Edge Infrastructure consists of many variants of custom appliances. While these appliances tend to be efficient for their targeted use cases (e.g. space, power, cost), their SW stacks consist of a fractured set of options at each layer that contain custom and/or scaled down frameworks that run on resource constrained compute.

Kenyi Technologies is developing an Edge Infrastructure compute platform that addresses these constraints, enabling the use of well accepted and open cloud native SW stacks with appliance like efficiency in terms of cost, power and space.

Technology

The Kenyi Solution leverages a Chiplet Architecture:

ARM Ecosystem Server Grade CPU Chiplet
Low Power, Low Cost, Server Grade

Kenyi Edge Server DPU Chiplet
HW Acceleration for AI enabled Edge Infra Use Cases

Single Package Edge Server Processor

Use Cases

Edge Server Use Case Examples:

Virtual Radio Access Network (VRAN)
Lookaside HW Acceleration for Telco

Video Analytics

Data Analytics

Secure Chatbot

Benefits of Cloud Compute at the Edge:

Turnkey SW Application rollout
e.g. CI/CD

Flexible SW defined Applications
VRAN SW
6G readiness out the box
AI Inferencing Services

Reduced OPEX

Vendor lock-in mitigation
Migration from appliance to COTS Server

6G AI Native

Future AI Compute demand shifts towards the Edge with Low Latency Inferencing as the motivator

6G AI Native Airlink

Sense, contextual, uplink enhancements
Facilitate Physical Agentic AI, AI-RAN use cases
Intelligence from cloud to edge

CAPEX/OPEX

6G will be an incremental upgrade on top of 5G
6G unlikely to justify a wholesale upgrade of network gear

Kenyi solution designed to live within Operator CAPEX/OPEX constraints
Enables deployment within baseline equipment refresh/modernization budgets

Flexible Accelerated CPU server platform allows for new use cases to emerge within CAPEX/OPEX constraints
Minimizes speculative spend!

Vincent Loncke

CEO / Founder

Vincent Loncke has over 25 years of experience developing mobile and Infrastructure silicon platforms for Edge Telecom use cases. Vince was an early team member of Flarion Technologies which spun out of Lucent Bell Labs in 2000. Flarion developed foundational technologies that contributed to 4G and 5G wireless such as OFDMA technologies and advanced channel coding (LDPC). Vince joined Qualcomm through its acquisition of Flarion in 2006. At both Flarion and Qualcomm, Vince has had a deep experience in ASIC architecture and design, SW development and modem IP architecture and design, leading several initiatives contributing to Flarion and Qualcomm's product portfolios. Vince is the holder of over 80 global patents.
